Western Electric Oak Type 68 Common Battery Compact Wall Set. It has a W.E. Type 143 non-terminal Bi-Polar Receiver, * Mouthpiece, and has a 7-Digit Rolled-Edge (not Beveled) Transmitter. The original Transmitter cup is not marked, but does have the outside Transmitter Wire and grommet. The phone is not restored. It features a Circular nickel plated Transmitter mount that I thought was original when I bought this phone, but later found it to be a replacement. Although, it is identical in all respects to the proper Circular W.E. mount including the knurled nut Thumb Wheel. You can't tell the difference when you look at it, but it is not the W.E. original. All other aspects of this rare phone appear to be 100% correct. It has the proper large Induction Coil, lettered Shelf type Switchook, and superbly marked large W.E. Rolled Condenser. Another killer feature is that it has Charles Williams type terminals, not the more common W.E. ones. It is profusely stamped on the left side: Type 68 with Pat. dates from 1886 - 1894. I have 9 additional photos that I can send as Attachments. My email is aydelotte01@comcast.net. This rare phone is only $ 595.00 plus Priority Mail shipping at actual cost.
